Game Premise and basic rules

Nights In Kaon RP is a cross-continuity Transformers RP set in the IDW universe/timeframe (with possible additions from other canon to make things interesting!). Any canon character from any Transformers continuity and any other fandom is invited. OCs are allowed, but please, give us some good backstory to work with.
The game features several active NPCs: Alpha Trion, the Prophet who brought you here, Clench, the Arena Master, Senator Ratbat, who desires only profit, from the Arena and the Senate Floor, Sentinel Prime, the leader of Security Forces, and Dai Atlas, the face of the Knights of Cybertron. Each can assist a PC (you), but for a price. Renege on that price at your peril.
Each favor you owe to an NPC (Example: You die in the Arena, and Clench allows you to be repaired) you repay with a favor...or a memory. You don't know where the memories go (trust us, they're going somewhere). And each favor brings you closer and closer to one side. The Thirteen are beyond this world, but they are directing the game, and each one has contrary aims, pulling and tempting you in different directions.
Those are not the only perils, though. This Kaon is a dangerous place, a crucible of the war.
There will be metaplot, directed by the NPCs, but there will be plenty of room for player-driven plots and CR, and exploration of other locations in the IDW universe!. If you have an idea for a plot, please tell us!
Setting:
See more under Locations. (in other words, WIP!) You are in Kaon, a vast, multileveled Cybertronian city, the playground of the Thirteen as they seek to settle the matter of Cybertron here, without the galaxy-destroying war.
Rules:
Pretendy Fun Time Games, people. Don't be a jerk. :(
Activity:
Stay active! Every player is allowed up to 2 characters, who for obvious reasons can't be close in canon (so you can't play Cyclonus AND Tailgate!) Activity is small: A log post, a comm post, or 5 comments on someone else's post is the basic idea. We don't like character squatting, but we don't want panic!
The Main Comm
This is a comm-based game. Once your app is approved, you'll be invited to join the comms and have at it. With your approval, the mods will give you a location where your character will arrive.
Each character has your standard communicator that allows Voice or Video posts. (And the much loved 'Accidental' variations thereof!) Network posts go on the main comm, but beware--Security Forces and....other elements may be listening in!
Posts can be locked to any players in the game. The Security Forces can hack anything. A character with canon hacking abilities can eventually break a lock.
The Logs Comm
Oh yes, there will be fighting! And talking! And drama! Fights and any other physical interactions (hang on to that pervy thought there, soldier) that are NOT on the main network will go on the log comm. Logs must have this information in the header:
WHO: (Ummm, self explanatory?)
WHERE: (where is this going down?)
WHAT:(what's the main content? why are you talking/fighting/whatevering?)
WHEN: (roughly, especially if backdating, may include link to thread)
SECURE/NOT SECURE: (how secure is your location? A not-secure location might allow backup to arrive for the other guys, or strangers to stumble into or crash your little partay!)
WARNINGS/OTHER NOTES: (as needed)
For Logs, please also tag with location. We have the few basic ones set up already, but feel free to suggest new ones!
Adult content MUST be on the comm and it must be members locked!

Sick of comms yet? Fo' srs. Anyway. This will be your standard Out of Character comm. You can post hiatus notices, ask for plot help, and such. The mods will post Activity Checks, HMDs and other stuff here, too (you know, like a good old fashioned IC meme for crack and lulz).
